When measuring items on my AccuLab as light as your individual prop 
parts, I include a heavier "helper" mass and record the addition over 
the known weight of the helper. 
You can also play with the extreme resolution by adding .00x g 
weights and getting an estimate (over/under) .xx5 gram. The lighter 
weights were inherited from my early homemade beam balance that 
measured out 3 digits.
