Mark has a good method of doing this. Maybe he can describe it. I had to get him to show it to me in person to understand all the steps.

  Subject: [Indoor_Construction] Film Patching

Are there any files showing film patching techniques ? I read somewhere
that you save patches between 2 wet sheets of newsprint, then cut the
piece to size, remove one side of newsprint and then place the patch dry
over the hole, then wick glue around the edges. I did this on my
pennyplane and it worked relatively well (in a clumsy sort of way) but
the patch, rather than laying smooth, went down like a piece of alligator
skin. Are there other techniques out there ?

  Thanks,
