Gary, I've had the same trouble in isolating a consistent thickness
strand, since tow seems just interconnected fuzz raveled together.
I've tried combing it straight, etc. Would love to hear others'
reduction/extraction solutions.

I'm talking about carbon weights comparable (or up to 50% more
than) .004" boron, including attachment adhesive. But was always "back
to boron" and that's not a bad thing.
