I use freezer bags and have since I got back into indoor in 1998. I tried the "document" quality paper envelopes at first and found that the rubber went south very quickly. All of my rubber is kept in a cool dark location.
I worked in the chemical field as a research and development technician in the mid 60's for a company that produced epoxy systems for aerospace applications. Most, if not all, epoxy formulations contain a degree of natural rubber. Our suppliers told us that the biggest enemy of rubber, both natural and synthetic, was light.
