Welcome, Steven,
A "Pennyplane" (instead of Limited Pennyplane) could fly on 1/8th
rubber, especially if a biplane, but those aren't so easy to build.
Or, a monoplane PP having big enough prop can require 1/8th rubber.
Or, an overweight LPP could require 1/8" rubber. I'm sure you know
that FAI Super Sport rubber is available in 1/16" and 3/32" widths, and
having that will remove a few of your design limitations. But you will
eventually discover (especially if addicted to indoor as you said) that
competitive indoor FF necessarily includes being able to come up with
many more rubber widths to suit the model and flying site--usually more
than just three sizes of rubber.
BTW, Indoor_Construction seems to have become more "Indoor News"
content whereas Indoornews.com has many more indoor building tutorials
and photos, so check out Indoornews.com, and feel free to ask questions
here or there.
