I've seen Jack's work at USIC and heartily support Don's intent to nominate him

I have always respected the FFers who are top competitors in dissimilar
classes--in this case world-class outdoor FF gliders in addition to F1D.
What a feat!

A comparable modeler does come to mind: Jack McGillivray of Canada. Jack was
on something like 18 Canadian F1 teams from the 1950s through the 1990s. His
two best events were F1B and F1D but I know he also flew F1C and F1A. Now
retired from serious FAI competition, Jack has for fifteen years or so been
concentrating on FF scale competition. This summer at the FAC Nats Jack was
awarded a plaque for his 300th career win in FAC competition. Those of you
who have been to USIC may have seen his little airbrushed Dime Scale P-51B.
Wanna guess the weight without rubber? Would you believe 5 grams(!!!)?

I am nominating Jack for the Free Flight Hall of Fame during the next cycle.
He is perhaps the most versatile and successful competitive FF modeler of
all time.
