I just ran it through Bernie's program with a 6.5 cm wing and got a little over a minute less flight time than LittleSquare. Your time looks a good bit better than what I would expect but then that's not unusual!

Did you notice that the Aspect Ratio for the skinny (5.5) wing is almost the same as we've been flying for the last two years and those have been flying quite well. That's 50 x 7 and now 40 x 5.5. Whoopee! Anyway, I made up a bunch of various chord wings and different length tail booms and my 15 cm wing and 25 1/4 overall length flies quite nicely at this point. 1/3 motors are around 1:30 (in our 22' ceiling) give or take a little and that would be around a nice 4:30. Model is a little heavy (7.5) as it was to be test bed for all sizes. Using an old beat-up grey peck prop which I still think work best except for the hassle of making them. Now fighting with the narrow wing which I feel is being over driven by my Banks L.E. stab. Awfully touchy. Going to make a stab with a lot less lift and see if co-operates a little better.
Hope you can finally make it to the Kibbee Dome next year. I understand (the last I heard) that Bruce Kimball and Ralph Ray are working on another "Battle Near Seattle" for next year.

OK, this years rules are out, slightly different twist to encourage
design variation this year.
While the wing span is limited to 40 cm max, the wing chord is
unlimited. Except you get a bonus at state contests for 6.5 cm max
chord and at nationals for 5.5 cm max chord.
Stab limited to 20 by 6 cm, 20 cm prop, 7 gm max, 1.5 gm rubber.
OK, so my question. How should one adjust the distance between wing
and stab as the chord changes?
I'm fairly sure equations are somewhere on the web to estimate this,
and variations have been discussed in this list. Pointers to those or
appropriate key words to search also appreciated.
