My A6 also has a tailbomm that is really floppy. I would like to replace it but it flies so well I'm afraid to change anything.

One secret to overcoming a floppy tailboom is to make sure that the left side of the stab has washin (trailing edge lower than leading edge). This will cause the tailboom to twist at the beginning of the flight, increasing the amount of stab tilt and also kicking the tail to the outside of the left turn that you want.

It seems like whenever I put my A6 together the stab is always warped opposite to what I want. So the first order of business is to twist it - breaking joints if necessary - to get washin on the left side. Without doing this it won't turn at all at the beginning of the flight or - what's worse - it will turn to the right. A right hand turn or no turn at the beginning of the flight makes it almost impossible to get the model located where you want it for the remainder of the flight. Steering is a challenge for me with any model but steering an A6 is just about hopeless. That makes getting the flight circle in the right place at the beginning of the flight a critical mission.

Hi guys, I have been to my flying site today and gave the A6 a run
for it's money and it needs a stiffer tail boom. It flops around like
and old shoe lace. I might of gotten a minute out of it but it only
flew straight line with maybe a slight right turn.

On the other hand i also made a mini stick. Now I tried a few
different motors, I finally got it to fly well but then it got stuck
in the rafters. I got it down and fixed the damage. (the tissue tube
had come off the front) and then i gave her a about 1488 turns and i
got 3min 45 sec out of her!! I was happy! i have never made a mini
  stick before.

I also found out the height of the gym. At one end it is 33 feet and
at the other it is 50 feet. I am suspecting that my best flight time
may be 5 minutes but i do not think that i could expect more than
that. What do you guys think? I will post a video of it flying so
that you experts can see what i might need to do.

I thought that the ministick climbed to fast and that if i could drag
out the accent a little that i could break the 4 minute mark to start
  with.

  regards
  Matthew
