Bad news: Dave Brown and the FAI Executive Councel (FAIEC) have
overruled Greg Hahn and reiterated their denial of allowing an out-of-
team-selection replacement on the Junior team.

Dave cited previous similar decisions and a lack of a fair and
equitable selection method as the reasons. He also referenced the
need to contain FAI program costs, but did not explicitly state it
was a reason for this decision.

Holding a supplemental team selection contest, as MMM Jerry Murphy
negotiated with Greg Hahn, would address the "fair and equitable"
issue neatly.

Also, I don't know the details of the previous denials, but I expect
that they involved something like someone trying to stick their buddy
on a team while 10 other interested people got snubbed. This
situation is clearly not that, and thus warrants a separate review.

Regardless, the only remaining option appears to be the Executive
Council overruling the FAIEC by a 2/3's vote. Let your VP know your
wishes, if you are so inclined.
