Our SciOly team also records max height and temperature. Since our
team flies at SciOly competitons where they don't allow practice
flights just prior to launch, and they only get two official flights,
our team needs to adjust motor winds and torque based on recorded
flight data to achieve a conservative first flight. Temp seems to
make a big difference on rate of climb (and duration as well).

We record on pre-printed forms with all the parameters set up as
column headings and each row being a separate flight. These are kept
in a 3-ring binder in date order. We add footnotes like "no touch",
or "turn circle size __ feet'," Prop No. ___, etc.

I can't wait to use Bill Gowen's Excel spread sheet. I have not
looked at it yet, but our team should probably move all its flight
data recording to a lap top and get out of the pen and ink era
(sigh).
