Reminder: the AMA Indoor FF Nationals / USIC are coming up on May
28th in Johnson City TN.
If you enjoy FF models and live anywhere within 10+ hours, you should
consider coming out. There is a lot of flying to be done, in a great
site.
Some people think that you have to be a serious competitor to
participate, but that is definitely not the case. Beginners are more
than welcome. Casual flyers can join in. You don't need to be a
champion indoorist. Just head down, register day-of, and enjoy the
site.
I uploaded the event schedule to the files section. Due to the site
layout, flying time is divided by category. However, as long as you
are flying something weight appropriate for the time slot, you can
test fly off to the sides all day.
Mornings are generally scale (except for gliders on Day 1).
Tim Lavender's Smyrna crew (about 30 kids, from the looks of it) fly
FAC for several mornings. You FAC guys out there really need to come
join them. These folk are in the true spirit of FAC, as I understand
it.
Afternoons / evenings are the duration events.
If you have a Limited Pennyplane, you can compete almost all day on
Saturday and Sunday.
