It is of course dangerous to extrapolate results from one model class into
another. Anyway, on a nice calm winter day I was trimming my wakefield
with electronic timer, and this allowed me to have slightly less incidenzr
at the prop fold, and then after a while, when I thought that any
oscillations from prop stop would have dampened, the model went into
"extended glide" with somewhat higher incidence. With an onboard altitude
logger I found out that with the higher incidence, the sinking speed
increased, even though the model glided in what seemed to be a nice,
steady, efficient-looking glide. So for outdoors (too), too close to stall
may not be the best trim to fly.
