In response to one of the questions you asked, about number of turns. With
the usual proviso about rubber batches varying, my turns formula gives the
following figures which may be useful until something better comes along:

grams/metre motor length maximum turns
1.2 9.8” 1797
1.3 9.1” 1594
1.4 8.4” 1426
1.5 7.9” 1286
1.6 7.4 1168
All for a motor weight of 0.6 gram.
