This is totally opposite to what I have found over the years - I first found it at one of the Norwind comps at Wigan in early 80's.

I use lower pitch at root with a small amount of washout at tip and came to similar conclusions for F1D and F1L quite independently.

Never mind the stalling bit it sounds like a bit of percieved wisdom; it's the times that matter!

  I have heard this said many times until it seems almost like an act of
  faith. What I have never heard is any reason why one would want to prevent
  the tips stalling as opposed to any other part of the blade.
