It is a great way to increase your flight time.
Hi Bill,
My oldest son, who hasn't flown SO in the last two years was "big" in
slowing the climb portion of the flight for longer duration. The
problem he had was that the solutions to slowing the climb of the
model were highly dependent of the air temperature in the gym. He
would set up his model for a slow climb, walk away to compete in other
events them when he came back to his model, not having time for a test
flight, fly the model, and to his dismay, the changed conditions would
not allow for good model performance. My younger son is a much more of
a conservative flyer, and looks more for longer durations on the
decent portion of the flight. I just sort of try to help them down the
path that they have choosen.
