Burning prop block?

Has anyone had their prop block start on fire while zaping it in the
microwave???
 
I was zaping a form for making F1D prop outlines out of kevlar
thread. Its a big block,and I was on the 3rd 2 min zap (I put a cup
of water in with it and change it every 2 minutes)
 
All of a sudden the microwave filled with smoke. I grabbed it out a
ran outside. Smoke was poring out of one little pin hole. I shot a
little water in it and it stopped. I carved out the area, and there a
sizable burned area, maybe 1 inch by 2 inch, all inside.
 
Wife is not pleased. House has a nice singed balsa smell to it.
