Some people prefer more camber for low ceilings and less for high ceilings. If you go along with that idea then maybe the answer will be related to the intended use.

I decided to try this variation where the wing ribs are arranged in a
zig-zag pattern instead of running parallel to the motor stick.
In cutting the ribs, I used my standard rib template with my preferred
camber for this airplane design.
After the wing was framed I noticed that the ribs extend higher than
normal because of the increased length needed to span from the leading
edge spar to the trailing edge spar.
I assume that use of the standard rib template in a geodetic pattern
has in effect increased the wing camber above what it would be in the
normal configuration where the ribs (cut with the same template) extend
perpendicular to the spars. I assume this is bad because it will result
in excessive drag.
This is a shame because the wing is stiff, true and under my weight
budget for this component. Live and learn I guess.
