I agree with you, Hack san.
If it was a local contest, I think it will be OK. But, it was an
Intenational Contest.
I think Sporting Code should NOT be interpreted excessively.
If steering from balcony is Ok, then, everyone think steering from catwalk
must be OK !?

And,
Section 4 - Aeromodelling ANNEX 3
A GUIDE FOR THE ORGANISERS OF FAI INDOOR FREE FLIGHT COMPETITIONS
3.A3.5. MODEL CHECKING
3) The third phase of checking requires that during the competition the
organiser should measure the
relevant characteristics of each model before it is used for an official
flight. For F1D this means
checking model and motor weights and wingspan.

The rules clearly says that the motor should be weighed BEFORE an official
flight.
But, I have heard that motors (sometimes, WASHED! motors) were weighed after
flights at many big contests.
Here in Japan, all lubed motors are weighed before the flights at contests
and record trials.

Good flying, Aki, I am getting better, thank you. Now I sit on wheelchair 2
times per day, 30 to 60 minutes each.
