Speaking of Pole Steering...

I have used both telescoping and sectional style poles, and find the
sectional is much handier for efficiently adjusting to a new length
quickly on the spot. Just pull off (or add to) the bottommost section
as needed, often when under model. The friction of telescopic joints
not wanting to slide, or wanting to slide too easily can be a PIA at a
critical moment.

I have the Leeda Assassin II-- many ferruled sections (carbon) 12
meter. Carbon modulus rated "18", supposedly the highest in this price
range. Works great, so far, 6 years. About L110 (British Pounds), not
mail-friendly and extra costly to ship from England, if you can find a
dealer willing to do so.
