Hi Bill,

A couple of years ago someone in England posted a bit about a
wingpost sanding tool. I have used this idea ever since and love it.
It consists of two strips of balsa about 3/16" thick and 1" by 4".
Glue a strip of sandpaper about 1" long to one end of each piece and
then glue a piece of wire of the finish size you want crosswise on
the inner end of one piece of sand paper. Then fasten a rubber band
around the other ends of the two pieces and start spinning your wing
posts in the tapered space between the two pieces sandpaper. The
angle you use determines the rate of taper. In a few minutes you can
make several sanders for different sizes. It's exactly like the
aluminum one you describe, but one that everyone can quickly make and
the best part is that it works!
