As others have mentioned Lakehurst is a different sort of experience 
from most indoor contests. To me it's more like my local club contests 
than like USIC or Kent or Colorado. There's little if any organization 
or rules or expectations. You just go and do your thing. Even if it's 
called a contest there is little in the way of head to head competition 
or turning in of scores. 
You can pretty much fly any kind of indoor model at pretty much any 
time. If your model might interfere with what someone else is doing you 
can just walk to a different area to fly. You might go home with all 
kinds of unmentionable filth stuck to your body. If you're unlucky 
about the weather you might spend more time visiting than flying.
But, at the end of the day you will have spent time in one of the best 
indoor flying sites in the world. And the only cost is what it takes 
for you to get there.
