Nationals were in 35 feet. I flew a 3:44. Brant and I were discussing
my state flight which was 3:38 in 24 feet. Sorry for any confusion. It
was just a standard model it had an Ikera prop and was not a canard.
State was in my high school cafeteria so I had a lot of time to try
fly in there before state. It was as close to perfect as I have ever
gotten. It took about 1:10 to reach the top and it just stayed up
there before coming down really slow with about 150 turns left over.
That plane flew exceptionally well. I ended up destroying it testing
new ideas after state. There are several things that I learned though
experimentation this year that have been done good things to my times.
I will share them once WS is over perhaps someone else would find them
helpful as well. I am almost finished with and OPP and will post
pictures of it this weekend when its done. I think there is a lot of
room for improvement over a regular Ikera and I plan to devote some
time this summer to making super efficient props for higher ceilings.
