The best lube I have used is ucon 77 it is an industrial rubber lube used in the auto industry. It is hard to come by as they like to sell 55 gallon drums. If you know someone in industry that purchases for a company Union Carbide will send a gallon sample which is a life time supply for several modellers. I gave a lot of this away in the past and everyone who got it likes its characteristics. The great thing is it is easily washed off of rubber or you hands and the MSDS sheets that Chrysler had said not to eat it and it could cause skin irritation with prolonged use.

The second choice for me is to evaporate the liquids out of son of a gun to get the thick silicon oil from it. I don't like silicon as it can irritate the eyes and it is very hard to wash off.
