Pretty much everyone who fly's classes with slow moving props uses a VP where allowed and extreme flaring props where not allowed so the curves would not be representative of the true torques. We all use RPM measurements for flight trim , VP adjustment and rubber sizes. Most use a rowing stroke watch for RPM measurement but the true reading of prop and rubber efficiency is the flight time. Good adjustment equals long flights, I use my lap top a lot when flying and have more formulas than I need but the computer never gets good times, the plane always beats it, must be underpowered and over weight. If we spent more time flying and building and less calculating our times would improve.

I was thinking we need a computer class where we enter values and the best computer simulation wins, this would be for the non flying science and math guru's.
