I was doing some test winding and unwinding of F1D motors from
different rubber batches recently and found that when I selected a
motor from each batch such that the cruise torque would be roughly
equal, I could wind a lot (~20%) more turns into 7/02 TAN II and 1/05
TAN SS than I could 6/06 TAN SS. Does this fall in line with what
others have observed? Has anyone else done this type of testing to
compare rubber batches, and does this method of testing make sense?
What other batches of TAN II exist and does anyone have data on they
compare to each other?
Thanks,
Eric Monda
