I would be interested in hearing about other's experience with props
and rubber in lower ceilings. Thanks for the info Tom.

I've used loops of Tan II from 12 to 24 inches in length and widths
from .075 to .110 inch. During last Sunday I used loops of .090 that
were either 2 grams or 2.2 grams in weight. I wound to between .75 and
.8 in/oz and backed off to .27 to .4. The glue joint on the prop spar
was slowly failing, early flights at .27 were going to the ceiling in
less than a minute. Later flights required more torque. At one point
the joint almost completely broke and the model wobbled really
badly. I reglued the joint and continued flying.

The early flights were longer with a few ceiling hits.

I struggled with my EZB during the entire day. It was much too floppy
especially the motor stick (in torsion). At launch torque wing wash
caused spiraling in to the right. I lowered the torque and the
spiraling in stopped, but the stab tilt was cancelled by the twist in
the motorstick and the model didn't turn. I added a bunch of left
thrust and finally got the model to turn, but could never get enough
torque to get the model to the ceiling. I guess I'm going to scrap the
model and build another one, hopefully lighter and stiffer.
