I was certainly not trying to push any theories, just trying to explain in a
simple way that a high pitch propeller would be more sensitive to changes in
torque than would a low pitched one. For that reason I don’t propose to
confuse things by arguing the case step by step.

However, to give you something to chew on I suggest you look at your
statement, ‘Velocity may not increase in proportion to torque’. I should
certainly hope not unless you have found some remarkable new facet of
aerodynamics! <smile>
