0-rings

Neil,

The envelope of O-rings arrived a few days ago and I just got to them. 54
weigh 2.28 grams, or 0.042 grams each. They are very similar to dental rubber
bands, but in various colors, look like they were sliced from soft rubber
tube. Overall diameter ranges from 0.26" to 0.32", wall thickness is
consistently 0.05" but length varies a bit around about 0.07". As they are rubber and
can store energy, I would think a CD might require them to be weighed as
part of the motor. Using them as wrap around removable O-rings would not help
then, although in use you would let them untwist in order to get them on the
hooks.

Thanks,

Gary Hinze
