What can Brown break for you?

Well I reported on UPS punching a hole in my shipping case and breaking
one of the end caps on my PVC steering pole case on the way to Colorado
Springs. On the next leg of the trip - Colorado Springs to Akron - the
case had one whole side destroyed and one of the wheels broken off. I
left it in the dumpster at the Days Inn at Kent. The solid end cap on
the PVC tube - the end that survived the first trip - was broken off
and missing. I think someone must have used the PVC pipe to beat in the
side of the box.

The interior plastic boxes did a pretty good job of protecting the
models considering. It only took me a couple of hours Friday night to
get everything back in flyable condition.

So I guess I underestimated the ability of UPS to wreck things. The
plastic box was not a good idea. Something maybe made out of steel
might do the job.
