I think it was mostly my new haircut! seriously Both Jim and I had
very similar models with a bit less weight than last year, well
compared to his last year model. My model had a very different
airfoil than Jimmys with a slightly higher aspect ratio. My model had
a noticably better glide but didnt seem to get quite as high, meaning
maybe a foot less height, I also had a larger circle. The trick seems
to be making a near 100si wing around 15-16 grams and throwing the
beejeezus out of it to get to the roof. My ministick record had
everything to do with being lucky on 40 ceiling hits, much like the
Jim Richmond style of LPP record flying.
