I know. I did think about that. Some plans specifically state that the
prop was designed to flare and some props were obviously designed to flare. The
prohibition would have to be honored by the flyer, that he did not intend
the prop flare as part of his energy management plan. Any prop with the center
of pressure ahead of the flexural axis may flare to some extent, and that
would include most props. I wanted a rule clarification in case I decide to
make my prop twist to a lower blade angle. My goal would be to make the prop
as efficient as possible at all stages of the flight.
