shipping a model

I've shipped a few Dennydarts, just take a box that is bigger than what
you think for a bit of learance. I glue "U" brackets cut from foam
sheet using hotmelt to hold the motorstick and keep it in place with
small rubber bands. Make a support that's tall enough to hold the wing
vertical - again from foam - and again hold it with rubber bnads. Then
if you are paranoid about the shipper handling, put in a bigger box with
foam peanuts as fill to center the model box..

usually works if they don't back a truck over it (;-')
