You've got to be kidding me! That's ridiculous! I love EZB because of
the challenge of no minimum weight. Those who can't build so light are
still pretty competitive IMO. Placing a minimum weight on the class
would make it redundant with F1L. And before you tell me that F1L is
too heavy, go take a look at the current cat IV indoor record for that
class.

As for the class dying, well, it's sure healthier than some of the
other classes on the rulebook. I see that at USIC, EZB had 12 entrants
and F1L had 15. I don't see where the class is in trouble at all.
Sure, F1L is easier, but that's what it's there for. EZB is for those
who have progressed to the next level. The models are cheap to build,
having no composites, and with no need for boron, they are safe to
handle (But I'm not against boron). Basically it's a class that gives
folks a cheap route to the half-hour mark for those who want it.
