Hi Tim,
    Yes. What I do is basically make a fuse similar
to an outdoor FF fuse which has a pop-up tail boom.
For outdoors, the gliders can get caught in thermals
and one needs to have a way to get them out and back
to the ground, otherwise the model is gone. This
device is called a DT, De-Thermalizer. There was a
nice article with pictures in one of the MA written by
Don awhile back. Also the website:www.amaglider.vze
has pictures of these fuses and the Round-a-bout has
plans for construction of a pop-up fuse. Where the
pop-up fuse pivots is where I remove a screw and the
tail boom is removed.
