Chris,

This may be true in theory but I question how much of a real-world impact
this will truly have in the event. Saving some incremental weight on a low
ceiling glider is not going to gain you much in terms of duration. Meanwhile
you'll give up a lot of consistency by using discus launch over javelin
launch--at least from what I've seen.

Bottom line: I agree with Jimmy B, whatever happens this is going to be an
exciting time in the evolution of IHLG!

This is where I see a huge advantage in low ceilings. For instance, I
