Travel box

I got talked into a trip to The Container Store with my wife last
Saturday. Once inside I forgot all about the purpose of the trip and
began imagining how to put my model stuff in something besides
cardboard boxes. I put a series of photos in the photo section
under "Bill G Travel Box" that shows the result.

Basically the outer box is black plastic, about 40" x 20" x 20", has
wheels on one end and is strong enough to sit on. The inner boxes are
clear plastic. There are three that stack in one end of the big box
and contain models. There is another deeper box I got for large tools
and a small parts box that has many, many covered storage
compartments.

I think the prices were about $40 for the outer box, about $8 each
for the model boxes, about $20 for the parts box and $10 or $12 for
the larger clear box.

My intention was to get this for local contests where it now takes me
4 or 5 trips to bring all my stuff in or out. As it has turned out, I
think the outer box is plenty strong enough for shipping so I may
give that a try if I want to fly to a contest somewhere - maybe
somewhere like Colorado Springs!
