   Showing them your AMA insurance and having all other students take out the One Dollar membership would likely
  get some other excuse forth coming. Being a competitive event I know the feeling. I ran up against same situation
  when my son was in Science Olympiad. We decided to load up car with all the local flyers willing and go to AMA contests like Flint, Michigan, Kent State, Buffalo, Champaign, Akron, Lakehurst and National's in Johnson City. It was the right choice all said and done with some life long friendships he developed. I believe it actually helped him be a better flyer too by trying harder to stay ahead. It is a lot more fun for everyone in a group!
