I got tired of arguing with slippery knots and just use two overhands
in either order: BUT, after I tie the first overhand knot I use a bit
of thin CA (it doesn't take much) on the outside edge of the knot,
next to the two ends. I then pat it down with my fingers to make sure
it is dry and then pull that knot tight (it usually tries to loosen
up due to the lube). Now I add the second knot, inside, and slide it
up against the first knot and pull the two tight. After the ends are
trimmed off the knot will hold just fine.
