Why do you want to do microfilm? If you want an easy to use, light
covering, then go with Ultra-film, PPP, or other plastic film. They
are easier to handle and stronger.

Having said this, microfilm is kind of magical. Thin sheets are
beautiful. It is the ultimate in lightness. Unfortunately it is
fragile, and is prone to shrinkage. It is difficult to make, often
difficult to handle.

I have a sheet of gold film that I keep around just because I like to
look at it.
