There are a few things that can cause deviation from a strict
proportionality, especially in higher sites. In many places there are
definitely layers where it seems difficult, or sometimes easy, to go
through a layer both on the way up and on the way down. Another thing
that changes flight time is temperature. In high buildings it is
likely that the air is warmer up near the ceiling and rubber responds
differently as it heats up. Full motor flights will spend more time
near the ceiling and allow more time for the rubber to heat up.
