That kit sounds like the approach we use, a piece of plastic stir stick
for the hub, as a toothpick is too small, we make spars from bamboo
skewers, glue to the blade (usually with hotmelt). Then we can twist
the blades to play with various pitches. Right now we're using 1" wide
blades with a bit of tip taper and a tapered inner edge.

As a question, I wonder if the Ikara blades could be used with that same
setup legally ?

Bill, flights sound great, I'll be sure to pass on the results to the
students, probably discourage them or maybe stir up something.

How many turns are you using, for testing we're using a max of 500 with
3/32 tan super sport.
