Hey everyone,

Mark your calendars for a trip to "Indoor Town USA", aka Colorado Springs!

Our site is the historic Colorado Springs City Auditorium-circa 1921. The
peak height is about 37' with a fairly smooth tiled ceiling, no exposed
girders, and about a dozen lights hanging down 1-2' so ceiling banging is
pretty easy. Floor area is 120x70ft. Tables and chairs are provided on site.
The drift is usually minimal and we steer with 30' poles. For pics of the
Auditorium check out http://hometown.aol.com/indoorcolo/colosprings.html

Our contest dates in 2006-2007 are:

November 19th, 2006 - 9am-5pm NFFS National Cup Sanctioned!

January 28th, 2007 - 9am-5pm

March 25th, 2006 - 9am-5pm NFFS National Cup Sanctioned!

Events:

9am-11am: Gliders only: HLG, SCLG, UCLG

11am-2pm: Midweight rubber (and lightweights may fly at your own risk):
Bostonian, OPP/F1M combined, LPP, FAC Peanut Scale, FAC No-cal

2pm-5pm: Lightweights ONLY: Easy B, F1L, Ministick, A-6, and anything else 2
grams or less.

How does the altitude affect flight times, you ask? Judge for yourself by
looking at these site records (not as bad as you'd think):

HLG (1 flt.): 38.0, LPP: 9:23, OPP: 12:12, F1L (1 flt.): 10:17, EZB: 15:31.

Colorado Springs is a great town with lots to see and do. Our airport is
only about 20 minutes from the flying site and Denver's airport is about 1.5
hours away. If you flew into Colorado Springs we could make arrangements to
pick you up at the airport! Motels within 1 mile are readily available and
very inexpensive this time of year. You could also combine a ski vacation if
you wanted to (NINE resorts are within a 2.5 hour drive).

Drop me an email if you are interested in flying with us.

Good flying,

Don DeLoach

MMM
