Gee, 40 + feet, we're flying in a 22 ft gym with its built in tornados
from the ceiling fans. {:-{
As part of our SO (engineering) project, the students will have to
design their own props using cottage cheese cartons or forming plastic
sheet on a tincan. I expect them to calculate the correct "tilt"
angle to make an approx. helical pitch. We use a bamboo spar that
fits a piece of plastic stirring rod for the hub with the prop shaft
running in a wire "pigtail" Natch we'll have to go to Ikara's for
competition - darn.
I'm thinking about making a static thrust gage, andy ideas would be
appreciated.
