Indeed they do. All official Bostonian flights must start with a takeoff
from the floor/ground. The AMA rules spell out the details of the landing
gear requirement. I assume you're an AMA member. If so, you can get a rule
book for free simply by calling AMA headquarters in Muncie and requesting a
copy. Know the rules of your event!
