Barry
I use gel ink and not much pressure and I don't really do much marking anyway.

For thrustline adjustment I stick a piece of wire or carbon rod (better) through the thrust bearing and measure the offset in the wire. You can figure out the wire offset for whatever thrustline offset you're looking for. A wire offset of 1/2" at 8" back is about 3 1/2 degrees for instance.

What kind of pen do you guys use to mark your wood and your cuts.
Seems everything I use crushes the wood ie: gel ink and rollerball.
Also, when I see a plan that says 2 degrees this and 3 degrees that,
as far as setting up a thrust bearing , how do you go about measuring
or is it guess from experience? Thanks Barry
