I'm putting the finishing touches on a glider intended to be released from a balloon (or
maybe from the catwalks at Lakehurst this weekend if I can finish it in time.) I has a 40 cm
span, 28 cm stab span, 10 cm chord for both, finished mass about 2 g.
My question is the best way to get it to circle. Does the direction matter, since there is no
prop? On my powered planes, I use a combination of left thrust, stab tilt, and angle
between the motorstick and tailboom, which results in a nice circle with a diameter that is
pretty constant throughout the flight.
Any suggestions concerning how to best induce a turn with a glider will be appreciated.
