It would be interesting to see how a square cross-section, rather than
rectangular, would stack up against the round one. I think they would
be pretty much the same in deflection, though maybe not in torsion.

On a similar note, Ray Harlan tells me that it doesn't matter where you
orient boron on, say, a motorstick - as long as they are evenly
spaced. That's why I love having these math / science guys around. I
can confirm it for myself now, but I probably never would have thought
of it on my own.
