Beginners Events and recognition

I have enjoyed the discussion on beginner events and the various pros
and cons. I like the idea of recognition for various achievement
levels rather than trying to compete with "experts" without the
requisite learning curve. Just as Boy Scouts have merit badges, and
the League of Silent Flight has its various levels of demonstrated
competence, I suggest something similar for indoor flight
achievement. Rather than call the levels various numbers or by
various names such as "beginner" or "master", why not name the levels
of performance by the names of indoor flyers who made our sport what
it has become. A sticker for your flight box, a T-shirt, or a list of
performance by modeler (ala the ranks in FAC) in a folder in this
group could suffice for the reward for performance level.

         My suggestion for level names:

One minute demonstrated duration: Bud Tenny

    Two minutes " " " " : John Martin

    Three minutes " " " " : Frank Cummings

    Five minutes " " " " : Charles Grant

    Ten minutes " " " " : Walter Erbach

    Fifteen " " " " : Joe Bilgri

    Twenty " " " " : Robert Randolph

    Thirty " """ "" "" : Jim Richmond

    Forty " " " " : Max Hacklinger

    Fifty " " " " : Laurie Barr

    Sixty " " " " : Steve Brown

So, if I show up at the USIC and my flight box has a "Randolph"
 sticker or I am wearing a T-shirt with a "Randolph 20-minute Club"
logo on the back, everyone will know that I have demonstrated that
I can build and fly an indoor model for 20 minutes of flight time on
one flight. I would have achieved the "Randolph" level for indoor
excellence.

Just my two cents' worth. Your comments? Your ideas for other names
for various levels?
