I think you guys have it backwards on this beginner thing.

Its you vs Micheal Schumacher (Mario Andretti, Richard Petty, etc) in matching mini-vans, who wins?

There's no way to keep the experts from winning any class they enter with construction rules. The best you can hope for is to keep the effort to enter low enough not to frighten away beginners.
