Stick to the design you like the best. The best models will cope with any ceiling height. The main change is the VP prop and setting up.

  Subject: [Indoor_Construction] CAT I F1D

I am preparing to build my first F1D and was wondering if there are
any specific modifications I should make to most of the high ceiling
F1D plans I've seen, since I expect this plane will spend the majority
of its time flying under a 22 ft ceiling. Some things I've thought of
  are:
#1) Longer or shorter motor stick
#2) Longer or shorter tail boom
#3) Deeper camber on wing or tail
  #4) Anything else I haven't thought of?

I know that I'll definitely want to use a VP because of the low
ceiling, but is there anything else I should change about the design
  to improve low ceiling performance?

  Thanks,
  Eric Monda
